CWBMP jointly Organizes International Biodiversity Day 2007

International Biodiversity Day
was celebrated on may 22, 2007
at the BIAM Auditorium through
the conduct of a series of
scientific paper presentations
from both the academe and
officials of the Department of
Environment implementing
biodiversity and biodiversity
related projects.

The Adviser for Ministry of
Environment and Forest, Dr. C
S Karim was the Guest of Honor
of the affair. The CWBMP
worked hand-in-hand with IUCN
in making the affair a
success. The theme of the
activity was “Melting Ice – A
Hot Topic?” an issue that is
most relevant considering its
effects to biodiversity,
resources, economy and the
entire population of Bangladesh.

awareness of the audience to
the relatedness of the issues
of biodiversity and climate
change.
