The participatory and adaptive
management approach that CWBMP
advocates came into play with
the conduct of the Project
Progress presentation and
Inception Review and Revision
workshop last May 16-17, 2007
at the Department of
Environment Conference Hall.

Mr. Md. Jafar Siddique, the
National Project Director
facilitated the discussions
himself. The activity was
participated in by the project
officers and specialists as
well as the partner NGOs from
all the five (5) sites,
namely, Hakaluki Haor, Teknaf
Penisnsula, Cox’s Bazar,
Sonadia Island and St Martin’s
Island.Officials of the
Department of Environment
headed by the Director General
Dr. Khandaker Rashedul Haque
also participated in the
workshop. Discussions and
inputs in the workshop formed
the bases for improved project
implementation.
